American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA) : The American Specialty Toy Retailing Association was founded in 1992 on a simple premise: to bring members of the independent toy industry together to help each other succeed. Since then, they have grown to be the largest association for companies in the toy and children’s products arenas, with more than 1,400 members. The mission of the American Specialty Toy Retailing Association (ASTRA) is to “lead the way through play” by providing quality products that help children have fun, achieve success and lead happy, healthy lives. They do this by providing leadership and resources to manufacturers, retailers, sales representatives, and others who are committed to producing and selling quality play materials with high play value. The Game Manufacturers Association (GAMA) is the non-profit trade organization dedicated to serving the tabletop game industry. GAMA strengthens and supports all industry professionals by advancing their interests, providing educational programs and opportunities, and promoting our unique form of quality social entertainment. Mission Led by publishers and manufacturers, GAMA promotes the interests of all persons involved in the commerce of games and game-related products. Hong Kong Toy Manufacturers Association : Established in 1996, The Toys Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong is a non-profit making organization. At present, the association has over 250 members who are mainly Hong Kong toy manufacturers with factories in the mainland China and Hong Kong. TMHK dedicates itself to promote the development of Hong Kong toy industry, as well as to protect and promote the interests of Hong Kong toy manufacturers. Hong Kong Toys Council : Hong Kong Toys Council, under the auspices of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries, has been dedicated for more than 20 years, to promoting the development of the local toy industry and safeguarding its benefits. Hong Kong Toys Council (HKTC) was established in 1986 under the auspices of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries (FHKI), a fully independent statutory industrial organization in Hong Kong. The Council aims at promoting and fostering the interests of Hong Kong toy industry from both local and international perspectives. HKTC endeavors to raise awareness of international product safety standards among the industry in view of the increasing demand for higher product quality. Council members preside on various committees of local and international bodies including the Toy Advisory Committee of Hong Kong Trade and Development Council, International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI) and Asian Committee of Toy Industries. In recent years, the HKTC has been internationally recognized, as it has successfully created a communication platform for local industry players and representatives around the globe. International Council of Toy Industries : The International Council of Toy Industries (ICTI) is the industry association for the worldwide toy industry. Its membership includes national toy associations from twenty countries, each of which has its own membership made up of toy brands operating in its own geography. ICTI and its member associations are committed to the promotion of toy safety standards, to the reduction or elimination of barriers to trade and to the advancement of social responsibility in the industry with programs to address environmental concerns, fair and lawful employment practices and workplace safety. Mission To act as a center of discussion and information exchange on trends and issues important to the toy industry, to promote safety standards, to reduce or eliminate barriers to trade, and to advance social responsibility in the industry with programs to address environmental concerns, fair and lawful employment practices and workplace safety. International Game Developers Association (IGDA) : The International Game Developers Association is the largest non-profit membership organization serving individuals that create video games. Their mission is to advance the careers and enhance the lives of game developers by connecting members with their peers, promoting professional development, and advocating on issues that affect the developer community. National School Supply & Equipment Association (NSSEA) : The National School Supply and Equipment Association (NSSEA) is the leading trade organization for the educational products marketplace. NSSEA puts the collective experience of the most successful school industry businesses in the world at your fingertips. Over 1,100 companies of all sizes that produce and deliver every type of product you find in an education environment are represented by NSSEA. Founded in 1916, NSSEA promotes an open market for quality educational products and services that are produced and delivered by professional suppliers and dealers.
Toy Industry Association (TIA) : Toy Industry Association™, Inc. (TIA) is a not-for-profit trade association for producers and importers of toys and youth entertainment products sold in North America. TIA’s more than 550 toy manufacturers and importers account for approximately 85% of the annual U.S. domestic toy market. TIA has a long history of leadership in toy safety, including responsibility for the development of the first comprehensive toy safety standard. TIA members and staff continue to work with government officials, consumer groups and industry leaders on ongoing programs to ensure safe play. TIA serves as the industry’s advocate on legislative and trade issues; enhances the image and growth of the industry by promoting toy products at its trade shows and events, in the media, and via other means; and fosters philanthropy to children via the Toy Industry Foundation and its Toy Bank. The Association also sponsors industry-leader events and conferences to spotlight trends, recognize achievements (e.g., Toy of the Year Awards and the Toy Industry Hall of Fame) and deliver information tailored specifically for trade executives (e.g., Credit Conferences and PlayCon, the International Conference of Play Professionals). |
