Aristotle Happiness Smiley Polydi
Description:

Aristotle Polydi™ thinks we should stay happy and physically fit at all times.  We really should follow his wisdom because Aristotle is one of the greatest thinkers in the Polydi realm.

Many years ago Aristotle was a student of Plato who in turn studied under the Greek philosopher Socrates.  Some say that Aristotle became so clever because he had smart teachers.  Although we agree that smart teachers is hugely important, we also think Aristotle has an enormous brain hidden behind his smiley face.

Over the years, Aristotle has made many great contributions to western science and philosophy.  He has also made contributions to logic, metaphysics, mathematics, physics, biology, botany, ethics, politics, agriculture, medicine, dance & theatre and much more.  Before the Polydi Aristotle began traveling around the world, he opened a school in Athens where he taught many subjects.  In addition to his old school in Athens he now teaches students in most areas of the world.  On occasion, he has been spotted tutoring children in their homes and class rooms.

Aristotle is convinced that a genuinely happy life requires that we work hard to stay mentally and physically happy.  This means in part that we exercise everyday and we try very hard to stay in a happy state of mind at all times.

Things that we normally hold to be valuable, such as wealth, intelligence, and courage, are valued only in relation to other things, rather than being valued on their own, and that
happiness is the only thing valuable in isolation.  It is not one swallow or one fine day that makes a spring, so it is not one day or a short time that makes a man blessed and happy.  Aristotle was convinced that a genuinely happy life required the fulfillment of a broad range of conditions, including physical as well as mental well-being. Aristotle is one of the greatest thinkers in the history of western science and philosophy, making contributions to logic, metaphysics, mathematics, physics, biology, botany, ethics, politics, agriculture, medicine, dance and theatre. He was a student of Plato who in turn studied under Socrates.

As per Aristotle's teacher Plato, the question “How can I be happy?” is equivalent to “How can I live a good life?” The characteristic question of ancient ethics is “How can I be happy?” and the basic answer to it is “by means of virtue.”
